I have been in the business of designing websites since the mid-1990's. Yes...I had a dial-up modem and learned HTML and Web Design as it was just becoming a "thang". I worked on my first website for a boutique investment bank named Hambrecht & Quist in San Francisco. It consisted of a lot of financial marketing. I learned enough there to make a jump to the fast paced life of a start-up named BenefitStreet.com. At BenefitStreet, it was all about creating an online experience for purchasing and managing benefits for small businesses.
In 2001, I returned to Minnesota via Target Corporation...and was there for about 4 years designing for Target.com. Target was and is fast-paced, fun and creative. In 2005 it was time to leave for the high-end furniture seller Room & Board. I was their one and only web designer for www.roomandboard.com. There I got to live in the world of beautiful modern furniture.
In 2006...I made the leap to freelance design and that is where I am happily today. I'm open to any design challenge and look forward to learning about new businesses.
